Day 2 – Sept 24 🔥
Theme: We Need More of the Holy Spirit
📖 Acts 1:8 – “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”🔥 Ask for a fresh filling of the Spirit today—more power, more fire, more boldness!

Starting with Repentance 🙏
As we step into Day Two of these ten days of fasting and prayer during the Weeks of Awe, let’s begin with humble repentance. Scripture reminds us:
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
It is the Holy Spirit who convicts us of sin (John 16:8). Take a moment today to invite Him to search your heart, to shine light on anything hidden, and to help you confess with “a broken and contrite spirit” (Psalm 51:17). Only then can we be fully cleansed and open to more of God’s power.
The Promise of Power 🔥
Acts 1:8 is today’s anchor:
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Jesus offered His disciples an invitation to receive God’s power from on high. He Himself could not fulfill His mission without the Spirit (Acts 10:38). If He needed the Holy Spirit, how much more do we?
So why don’t we hunger for Him more? Why don’t we pray, preach, and seek after the Spirit with the desperation He deserves? Our Father longs to give the Spirit generously—just as a good parent delights to give gifts to their children.
Ordinary People, Extraordinary Power ✨
Picture the disciples: ordinary men and women gathered together, waiting with expectation. When the Holy Spirit came, they were transformed. The church was born in a whirlwind of wind and fire, and suddenly these everyday people became world-changers—leading thousands to Christ because they were filled with the Spirit’s power. Listen to my testimony below...
The question is: Do you need more of the Holy Spirit in your life? If so, cry out today. He is ready to fill you.
Scriptures to Dwell On 📖
Acts 19:2 (NLT): Paul asked, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”
Romans 8:16: The Spirit assures us that we are children of God.
Ezekiel 36:25–27: God promises a new heart and victory over sin.
John 7:38–39; Galatians 5:22–23: The Spirit flows like living water, producing the fruit of God’s character.
Acts 4:13, 31: The Spirit empowers us to boldly proclaim the gospel.
John 16:13: The Spirit leads us into truth and a deeper knowledge of Christ.
Romans 8:26–27: The Spirit intercedes through us in prayer, bringing miraculous answers.
Be Wise—Be Filled 🕯️
Jesus warned us in Matthew 25: the wise bridesmaids had oil in their lamps (symbolic of the Spirit, see Zechariah 4:1–6). The foolish ones looked religious but lacked true intimacy with Christ. When the bridegroom came, He said to them, “I don’t know you.”
The disciples understood this. They remained in Jerusalem after Jesus’ ascension, constantly in prayer and worship (Luke 24:53; Acts 1:14). After ten days, they were baptized in the Spirit—and 3,000 souls were saved in a single day (Acts 2).
Take the Step Today ✝️🔥
